ESL English Day Camp for Refugee Children

July 24-28  10:00am – 2:00pm @ Dearborn Free Methodist

This day camp will provide elementary age refugee children space to learn and practice English in a safe and fun environment. This is yet another opportunity to tangibly demonstrate the love of Jesus.
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to:
house college student volunteers, transport refugee families to the Church and back home, help administratively, be prayer intercessors, help in miscellaneous ways, and be friendly outgoing people willing to make a difference in kids’ lives.
If interested in helping, mark your connection card or contact Megan Weber pastormegan@dearbornfmchurch.org.

Summer Signups Continue!

Check out the Connect Group table in the foyer to sign up for one (or more!) of our Summer Connect Groups. Our Summer group offerings range from those with an emphasis on spiritual formation, to a focus on service, to some that will be just plain fun! Have kids? Check out the groups that will be meeting on Sunday mornings at 9:00AM. Loving child care and Bible lessons are provided in Character Town! These groups will begin in June and go through July.

Discipleship groups

Going Deeper | Room 115 | Sundays @ 9AM

Believed by many to be Paul’s earliest letter, we are studying together Paul’s letter to the churches in Galatia. What does a letter that was written almost 2000 years ago have to do with our lives today? Come and find out!

New Horizons | Chapel | Sundays @ 9AM

The New Horizons group is working through a series of studies on “The Good and the Not-So-Good.” Come out and enjoy the fellowship and the excellent teaching.

Connect Groups

We offer Connect Groups for a wide range personal interests and needs, but each group will also focus on relationship with God, with each other, and with the community. Connect Groups meet at various times and in various places throughout the week.

Dan and Hope Owsley

Dan & Hope are involved in church planting and leadership training in Brasilia, the capital city of Brazil. Dan disciples and counsels FM pastors. Hope is involved in Bible study, discipleship and just recently completed the first draft of a John Wesley devotional book.  Both teach Bible and theology classes to church leadership and lend support and encouragement to church plants in the greater Brasilia area.  On Wednesdays, they meet in six different shops to share the gospel and pray with shopkeepers and their employees.  These new friends are beginning to attend a nearby church plant.
